Sun Zong had a father named Sun Jian, who was originally a subordinate of Yuan Shu. After Sun Jian's death, Sun Zong joined forces with Yuan Shu. Yuan Shu liked him and said to others, "If I had a son like Sun Zong, I would feel at peace even in death." However, Yuan Shu did not give Sun Zong any important positions. Sun Zong once hoped to become an official in charge of a county-level administrative division but was not appointed by Yuan Shu.

Sun Zong's uncle Wu Jing served as the magistrate of Dan Yang (now Anhui Province) but was forced out by the governor Liu Yu (you2). At this time, Liu Yu had conflicts with Yuan Shu. Therefore, he dispatched 1,000 troops to assist Wu Jing under pressure from his enemies. When Sun Zong requested troops from Yuan Shu for help against Liu Yu and Wu Jing in Jiangdong (southern China), he received only 1,000 soldiers.

Sun Zong led his army southward. Along the way many people joined him voluntarily. His strength increased significantly when he reached Lixiang County (now Hua County in Shanxi Province). He reunited with his childhood friend Zhou You there and expanded his military power further.

As an excellent warrior and leader with strict discipline among his troops supported by local residents' loyalty towards him; it wasn't long before they crossed the river to conquer more territories than just defending their current position—defeating Liu Yu's men successfully reclaiming Dan Yang and conquering Wugang () as well as Kuaiji (), which resulted in six counties within Jiangdong falling under their control.

Sun Zhung continued planning for expansion northwards during Cao Cao's battle against Yuan Xie (). The plot suddenly turned unexpected when one day while hunting on mountain slopes where wild animals roamed free; hidden ambushers set up traps around trees waiting for them - shooting arrows into sun Zhung's face without warning causing severe injury that seemed untreatable by doctors' efforts or remedies.

Sensing defeat approaching due to illness or injuries sustained during battles over territorial expansions; believing that nothing could be done about these events unfolding now after hearing news about impending doom through war-torn landscapes filled with ravaged cities & countless lives lost yet still hopeful despite all odds stacked high against them both sides were losing faith - especially since none knew what future held next following series catastrophic losses suffered at hands those fighting fiercely seeking victory above anything else while trying protect their own lands & people too

When asked how they felt about each other’s decisions made regarding actions taken then present situation looked bleak indeed: one side mourning loss while another fretted anxiously fearing worst-case scenario occurring soon enough though knowing chances weren’t looking good either way

They also understood that trust must come first before action could take place effectively so conversations focused mainly discussing possible ways forward rather than dwelling on past mistakes committed earlier down line history course
